This Year's School Pictures

I don't know if these are the ones we're going to print, but here they are!
This is the one picture that Cassidy isn't sticking her tongue out in!

Once again, we took pictures at the park and all but one were deleted because of the memory card. The one of me above is the only one that survived.

The Hudsonville Fair

First we'lll have Supershowmanship. It was on Friday night. If you got first place in a showmanship class, you get to do supershowmanship. You show all the animals except beef when you're a Junior. I won in rabbit showmanship. In supershowmanship, I got 2nd by 1 POINT! I answered an easy question wrong. If I answered it right I might have won! The prize is a 2 ft. trophy!

This is wether breed classes. They judge how good your goat is. For wethers they do how friendly they are. My goat got 2nd place! Lindsey's didn't place.

Lindsey was excited before the show!

I'm showing my doe, Bella. She got 1st place (out of 1) but didn't place in the championship for best doe.

I know you're all probably wondering where the rabbit and goat show pictures are. The memory card on the camera broke and deleted all of those. :.(

Curtis!!!

During the 2nd week of August we were in Curtis!(in the U.P.) Me and Lindsey both tried skiing and I tried wakeboarding, too!
Beautiful sunsets.

Here's Lindsey skiing. She was better than me!

Here's Dad's 3 ft. pike! Nobody else caught anything big.

Every year Brianna Hoekstra, Andrew Lubbers, and I make an awesome sandcastle with gardens and everything. Lindsey, Sam, and Taylor helped on this one too.

End of August Pics

This is what Cassidy thought of Ellery! "I have a cousin my age! Whoo Hoo!"

Sweet little Ellery.

Sorry these aren't in chronological order. Here's Taylor's birthday. Mom and I were running around the night before getting her presents. We went to the Woodland Mall 5 mins before closing time to get her last present!

Cassidy was happy when she woke up, so we took advantage!

Dad's Surprise Party

Dad's 40th! It was a lot of fun. Grandma B. and Aunt Pam came over to help that afternoon. We had yummy chicken fajitas and tortilla chips! Dad was totally surprised! When he came home from work, everyone was sitting in the backyard!

The crowd...

the food...

Mom and Grandma had fun arranging these!

Yummy Costco cake! (Homegrown flowers tho!)

Hello! This is Kenzie! Mom and Dad taught me how to blog! You'll probably be seeing a lot more posts now! ;.) This is our camping trip to Muskegon State Park. Someone at Dad's work let us use the motor home for FREE! (not including the $175 for gas. The gas mileage of that thing was 4 mpg!) Taylor is sweeping the many ants off the mat. Daddy worked and came up every night! (And went swimming with us every night!) Cassidy was great and we were able to be on the beach from 11 to 4 every day while she slept in a beach tent.

This was the ferry that goes to WI from MI. About 5 minutes after it came, giant waves came in! We had a ball!

We'll end with an adorable picture of Cassidy. She was just starting to smile!

Get ready for some cuteness!

I realized after I did the last post, that I missed some pictures from earlier in the summer. Here is bathtime for Cassidy...WOW is she skinny in this picture! She has chunked out quite a bit!

We picked cherries right up the road on the 4th of July. A piece of advice to anyone picking cherries -- it doesn't take long to fill a bucket (unlike blueberries)! After 1 hour, we had 4 buckets full of cherries which equals WAAYY more $$ than I was figuring on spending! But it was fun and the cherries were delicious.

Here's baptism. But you all know about that already ;-)

ALRIGHT ALREADY!

Bear with me...the pics are in reverse order! What's up with that? Well, if you can't tell, I'm teaching myself how to blog with a little bit of help from my hubby by phone.

We will begin with the Berlin Fair in Marne. In July, Kenzie and Lindsey took their bunnies to the Berlin Fair. No teasers here - you get to see the results first! Kenzie took 6th place and Lindsey took 3rd place in showmanship! Pretty good for a class of 18 competitors! Here they are pictured with the 4-H Leader, Melissa.

After they examine their rabbits, the judge brings them aside and asks them various questions (anatomy, breed, etc).

Here is the table where they have to pose thier rabbits and examine them. In this picture, the boy is in the middle of the examination. Overall, everyone was thrilled with how they did in their first rabbit show!
