Here's a few photos of the nursery after it was transformed from Brad's office. A little carpet, a little paint, a little trim, a tree and some birds. In 5 weeks or so we'll add a little baby to complete the picture. We may even blog between now and then if you're all nice.

One of the last snows of the year, Mackenzie and Lindsey took their cameras out to take "artsy" photos. They're practicing for the photography division in 4-H this year. Here are a couple shots they took.

And the long awaited Lynn's stomach shot. Only 5 weeks or so, then we'll probably have a real reason to update our blog.
Mackenzie got glasses a couple weeks ago.

Taylor after feeding the cats.

Spring is in the air. Here Lindsey decided it was time to clean out the goat barn.

Taylor in the bath tub reading - part of the "Bath Tub Bowl" reading contest in second grade.

Well, Lindsey now cries herself to sleep every night, thinking one of her uncles (or one specific aunt, you know who you are) is about to kill her rabbit. So as an act of self defense, here's an update! First, Mackenzie at the regional spelling bee. She placed third out of the 22 contestants and did not move on to the state competition. We're proud of her anyway!

Lindsey with her rabbit Lester. Lester is a mini lop and she will show it at the fair this summer. We brought the rabbits in the basement due to the extremely cold weather this week.

Brad hard at work. Photography by Lynn from inside the house where it is safe and warm. It's right around zero degrees outside today.

Although this looks like it's a lot of fun (and it's better than shoveling) it does get old after a while.
TOY SHOW SEASON!

Every winter I set up at 5 or 6 farm toy shows. January 10 was up near Saginaw, Michigan, and I took these two assistants along. On the right is Mackenzie the assistant manager, and on the left is Lindsey the inventory control chick (both self-invented titles).

Here's what my tables look like after setting up.

A sampling of my wares.

The John Deere table. Yes, it's all for sale, so if you see something you can't live without... And no, we didn't eat all those bananas by ourselves.

CHAMPION!!!

Mackenzie was one of 4 representatives from the 6th grade in the Heritage spelling bee today. The spelling bee was for grades 5-8 and she took home the gold for the whole school!

Here she is hard at work. I think she was spelling "the" or something like that.

January 3 was Mackenzie's 12th birthday, for those of you who missed it. Lindsey and Taylor gave her a gift they thought fitting for their older sister, they went outside and collected a box of rocks. Here she is opening it.

Mackenzie's 12th birthday, complete with a basketball cake.
