Lynden City Park and Edaleen Dairy

We visited Lynden City Park with Uncle Chris while he was down from Alberta. It's another one of our old childhood stomping grounds, and kind of fun to share with another generation. Of course, all the cool stuff is new!

We went straight to the source for ice cream, Edaleen Dairy on the Guide north of Lynden.

A nice picture of Brad, Bethany and Dwight's kids.

Here are three good looking guys and their sister.

Lynden Museum

A trip to Lynden wouldn't be complete without visiting the Lynden Pioneer Museum.

Model Lynden Transport trucks. Their terminal was just up the road from where we grew up.

Yes, that is Chris checking out one of the exhibits.

Taylor, looks like coming out of the outhouse?

Bainbridge Island/Seattle Skyline

After Pikes Place Market we hopped on a ferry and went to Bainbridge Island for lunch. On the ride we were treated to great views of Seattle from the water. Hi Thomas!

A bevy of babes we saw on the ferry.

Pike's Place Market in Seattle

We made a trip to Seattle on a Saturday to see the famous Pikes Place Market.

Winchester Lookout Hike

Calvin, Dwight and I attempted to climb from Twin Lakes to Winchester Lookout. I'd have to say this was probably the highlight of the whole trip for me - spending guy time on a perfect day in some of the most beautiful surroundings I've been in. Although we didn't quite make it to the top, and Dwight took quite a fall, just an awesome day.

One of the Twin Lakes where we parked the truck and started our hike.

These lakes were still partially frozen over just 1 week ago - water looks cold!

This is a picture of Dwight just before the infamous fall that I'm sure he is sick of talking about.

View from the top (almost)

Miscellaneous Washington Photos

Here's a few photos from the first couple days of our recent trip to Lynden. We had a kid's game of baseball in the backyard (Aunty Bethany played too, didn't you!)
Cassidy after a solid base hit.

I love this view from the deck; can we come back?

Some little helpers for dinner on our first night.
